1. Overview
Chicageaux BBQ Company (“Chicageaux,” “we,” “us”) is a BBQ catering company based in Georgia. We also sell a small line of seasoning rubs through this website. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this site, any catering or event services you book with us, and any product orders placed through our online shop. By submitting a booking request, hiring us for an event, or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
2. Catering & Event Booking
This is the core of what we do, so please read this section carefully.
2.1 Getting a Quote
Catering bookings start with a free consultation, where we discuss your event date, location, guest count, and menu. We’ll follow up with a custom quote based on those details. Pricing in the quote is based on the guest count and menu discussed at that time and is subject to change if those details change.
2.2 Deposit & Booking Confirmation
Your date is not reserved until we confirm your quote and receive the deposit specified in it. The deposit amount, balance due date, and accepted payment methods will be detailed in your individual quote. Deposits are non-refundable once a date is reserved, since reserving your date means we turn away other inquiries for that day and begin planning, sourcing, and prep specific to your event.
2.3 Final Guest Count & Balance
We’ll ask you to confirm a final guest count by the deadline noted in your quote (typically several days before the event). Final pricing is based on that confirmed count, and the remaining balance is due on the schedule in your quote — typically before or on the day of the event. Increases to guest count after the deadline may not be guaranteed and may be subject to availability and additional charges.
2.4 Cancellations, Rescheduling & Weather
If you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible. Because the deposit reflects time, planning, and turned-away bookings rather than just food cost, it is non-refundable. We will do our best to accommodate a date change, subject to our availability, and any difference in cost for the new date will be discussed with you. For outdoor events, we monitor weather and will work with you on contingency options (covered space, rescheduling, etc.), but we are not responsible for costs or losses caused by weather, venue access issues, or other circumstances outside our control.
2.5 Travel & Service Area
We’re based in the Newnan/Peachtree City area of Georgia. Events within our standard local area are covered at our standard rates; events farther out may include a travel fee, as outlined on our Book Events page or in your quote.
2.6 Our Equipment & On-Site Setup
We bring and operate our own smokers, grills, and cooking equipment, which involve open flame, hot surfaces, and charcoal or propane. This equipment remains our property at all times — we are not renting it to you, we’re operating it as part of our service.
You (the client/venue) are responsible for providing a safe, reasonably level setup area with the access, parking, and any electrical, water, or shade needs flagged during planning, as well as confirming any venue rules or permits that apply to outdoor cooking at your location. We take standard safety precautions while on site, but given the presence of open flame and hot equipment, you’re responsible for keeping the cooking/setup area reasonably clear of unsupervised children or uninvited guests. You’re also responsible for any damage to our equipment caused by your guests, other vendors, or venue conditions during the event.
2.7 Service Time & Staffing
Your quote will specify the service window we’re staffing (arrival/setup through breakdown). Service extending meaningfully beyond that window may incur an additional fee, which we’ll always discuss with you before charging it.
2.8 Food Safety & Allergens
We follow standard food safety practices in preparing, holding, and serving food. Please tell us about any food allergies or dietary restrictions among your guests when you book — we’ll do our best to accommodate them, but given the nature of live-fire cooking and shared prep/serving areas, we can’t guarantee a zero cross-contact environment for allergens (including nuts, dairy, gluten, soy, or shellfish-derived ingredients that can appear in rubs and sauces).
2.9 Property & Liability
We take reasonable care to protect your venue and property while we’re on site, and we are not responsible for pre-existing property conditions. If your venue requires a certificate of insurance from us, let us know when booking so we can provide one in time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to an event is limited to the amount you paid us for that event, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (for example, costs unrelated to the meal/service itself).
2.10 Photos & Marketing
We may photograph food and setup at your event for our own portfolio, website, and social media. We’ll be respectful about guest privacy — let us know if you’d prefer we not photograph at your event and we’ll work with you on that.
3. Online Shop — Seasoning Orders
We also sell a small line of seasoning rubs through this site. We make every effort to display pricing and product details accurately and reserve the right to limit quantities or correct listing errors. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address. Payment is processed securely through our payment processor at checkout.
Shipping timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. Because these are food products, we generally can’t accept returns once shipped — but if your order arrives damaged or wrong, email info@chicageaux.com within 7 days and we’ll make it right.
4. General Terms
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. We may update this page from time to time; the version posted here at the time of your booking or order applies. Questions? Email info@chicageaux.com.
